Quilting
is back and it seems that nearly everyone wants to make quilts. Quilting patterns
and quilt designs
go from tiny intricate pieces stitched together to make a spectacular design to
the quick easy-to-make large pattern pieces satin stitched (appliqued) to a
colorful background.
Quilt patterns for children are very popular
and the children love them! They will forever brag about the quilt "my
mother made" or that "my grandmother made just for me"!
EVERYONE CAN BE A
QUILTER, regardless
of how much or how little extra time is available. The easy "appliqué"
type quilts take very little time to make, yet are an excellent gift to give to
adults or children, or to use yourself! A quilting project is one that gives you
a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when the project is completed.
The quilted lap blankets are quick and
easy and also make an excellent community service project for clubs to make and
donate to nursing homes and hospitals. In addition, the baby quilt patterns will be
appreciated long after you’ve given them as a gift at a baby shower.
Quilt making is a great hobby! If you’re
just beginning, try one of the easy quilts, and if you’re a seasoned quilter,
try one of our more detailed patterns. Quilts My Grandmother Made consists

I would like to
dedicate this class to my late Mother and Grandmother, whose sewing and quilting
expertise was so willingly and lovingly passed on to me and others. I pray
that this class would encourage someone to give a little of themselves to others
