Women’s Convertible Beach Towel / Coverup Pattern

This quick and easy to make Convertible Beach Towel and Coverup will become your favorite beach or swimming pool item. Spread it out on the patio or sand and you have plenty of room to lay out. Don’t forget to put the hood in place so you won’t have your head on the sand. The back is longer than the front, so when you get into the car you’ll have plenty of room to drive without a long towel getting in the way or just for ease in sitting in the chairs at the pool. The hood is especially nice – will keep the sun off your hair if necessary. In addition you can use the hood to quickly dry your hair when you get out of the water! The Convertible Beach Towel and Coverup is roomy enough that you can actually change your clothes in it. The armholes are larger than normal so you can get your whole arm into the towel making it super easy to get in and out of your swim suit! There are optional side zippers that you can use in order to open it up even more.

The downloadable PDF pattern comes with full-size pattern pieces in your choice of two size ranges S-XL and 1X-5X.

The beach convertible beach towel / coverup is designed for terry cloth 54″ – 60″ wide. The downloadable PDF pattern comes with full size pattern pieces. Included are complete illustrated instructions for construction of the garment.  Seam allowance is already included; seam lines and hemlines are shown.

Sizes 1X-5X: pattern contains 5 sizes –1X (46″-48″), 2X (50″-52″), 3X (54″-56″), 4X (58″-60″), 5X (62″-64″)

Fabric requirements are:

Sizes S-XL:  2  2/3 yards for all sizes

Sizes 1X-5X:  3 1/2 yards for all sizes
