GOLF CLUB MITTENS
Golf
mittens are sure to be a hit for anyone who golfs! The golf club
heads are protected, and the golfer can see at a glance which club he or
she is reaching for since you're going to conveniently put the numbers on
the mittens for him or her.

-
Contrasting
felt for numbers
-
8"
length of 1/4" wide elastic

Trim
the edges of the felt with pinking shears. Cut the tops of the

golf club heads.

the numbers above, trace and cut out of contrasting colored felt.
Machine stitch each number to one side of the mitts, stitching about
1/8" IN from the edge.
Divide
the 8" length of elastic into four 2-inch pieces. Sew one piece
across the back of each mitt about 4 1/2" up from the bottom.
Stitch in the center and on each end of the elastic pieces. The
elastic makes the mitten gather and holds it in place on the club.
Take
the 4 felt tabs and insert the ends of the tabs into the tops of the
mittens and pin in place. Stitch the front and back sides of the
mittens together.
Using
the 22" length of plastic lacing or shoe lace, tie the four mittens
together to complete the set.
